Tails were wagging and fun was had at our first Pawsitively Spooky festival! We had done a smaller version of this event in years past called Bark or Treat, but this year we opened up to the public with our new brand, and went all out! We kind of threw everything at the wall on this one to see what would stick. The dogs in costume were by far the favorite piece of it.

We also hosted a 1 mile Fun Run and 5k, that many participated in to raise funds for the Helene Foundation, a breast cancer support organization, as well as for Dog Warriors, a dog rescue.

We had about 25 vendors in attendance, many pet related. Food trucks joined us too including Chicago J Hot Dogs, Bolt Coffee and Drinks, and Stick Happens.

Dogs and kids alike were excited to trick or treat for candy and treats. There was a bounce house and tons of games and activities. SO MUCH FUN!

The day started rainy, which was NOT in the forecast, but it ended up being a perfect Fall day. The American Tobacco Trail was a perfect and picturesque place for the runs, with leaves falling and showing their beauty as scenery.

We had costume contests and awards for Adults, Kids, AND dogs. Judges were Dr. Cindy Johnson of Peak City Vet, Larkin Combs of K9 Resorts, Kelsey Lockhart 6 year old, and Mayor Jacques Gilbert!

The judges had a hard time picking all the winners!
