Fun was had by all at our first SUPER FAMILY SHOP-N-PLAY & EXPO FOOD-N-FUN FEST on Saturday, May 6th at Hope Community Church in Apex! A special thanks to Positively Apex, Fibonacci Solutions Inc. and OutpostLE for hosting this exciting community event and to all the local small businesses who attended the vendor fair and contributed to its success! We greatly appreciated your generous donations towards the food pantry and blood drive to help support our community members in need. YOUR support means the 🌍
The Hope CC food pantry currently serves over 200 families each month, and we are happy to announce that we collected hundreds of pounds of food which will help serve the local schools! In addition, we are proud to share that Blood Connection, Raleigh’s community blood center collected enough blood to save 73 local patients in just 3 hours! YOUR liquid gold 🩸 is the most precious gift, and it is donors like you that are helping to save lives.
Even Sal, the Holly Spring’s Salamanders baseball team mascot made a special appearance! His meet and greet thrilled kids with many hugs and high-fives.
The fundraising dance performance was kicked off by a spirited Irish dancer wearing a traditional costume and the Starr & Co Performing Arts group charmed the crowd with their artistic dance demonstrating their commitment to their craft. Thank you to all who sponsored and donated to make this dream come true for the dancers and have a magical time at Disney!
Overall, we had more than 50 vendors market their businesses and an average of 250-300 community members attend and enjoy the interactive booths. While it was a hot day, the venue worked out great, we had our business vendors inside and food trucks outside to quench our appetites and thirst. It was a wonderful event, there was something for everyone! The event featured a diverse range of fun activities, you name it, we had it! Everything from precious pups of animal rescue, food trucks from local eateries, various non-profits to support, dance entertainment, guest speakers, and a business expo to make it the ultimate family day!
